The BK Foundation is designed to provide wellness and therapy to children and adults with various disabilities through the healing magic of animals. We are taking the common therapy use of animals and bringing It to the next level and designing a program that is one of its own. We will provide multiple animals of various types and sizes for one on one therapy with individuals and groups both on site and mobile. This will include common care, social interaction, and therapeutic riding. But That is Not IT!
The BK Foundation is taking it to the next level with our one of a kind program that will facilitate and treat animals of various types with a physical therapy center to help prevent and repair physical ailments. We are going to bring in individuals with disabilities and have them work one on one in the help and care of the animals with disabilities so they can experience the amazing love and trust they will gain in each other. The individuals with disabilities can also see and experience the feeling of helping another living creature heal, and in turn they are healing themselves.
The BK Foundation will also offer a camp like facility with a working animal ranch. They can come in groups that we will be rotating throughout the year and by season, to experience the life on a ranch and caring for the animals. We will have housing that is accessible and be able to rotate in weekly camp sessions both for day and overnight. Rotations will be based on therapy programs and types of individuals grouped to be of like.
Although this is a new concept, it has been a passion and dream of the founder, Jennifer Kindred-Bulbulia, for over 20 years. Jennifer’s experience both personally and with business has brought her here today. Working in the veterinary field since she was 14 years old, volunteering with other non-profit therapy programs for animal assisted therapy for over 20 years, volunteering through high school and college working with the special needs children in the public school system, a business owner for 21 years, Financial and Business Consultant, are just a few of the areas she has touched on. Jennifer’s personal struggles with life and health is what has brought her with the desire to help others in what she has seen personally help her. Both Jennifer and her husband Yusuf struggle from their own health issues. Jennifer herself has experienced that animal assistance has given her life and the strength to help others.
